For the first half of August, my little brother and I went to Quebec visiting Quebec City and Montreal on a road trip. There’s been a few articles published on it already and I’m still writing about it. The trip was sponsored by Tourism Quebec and they jam packed us with fun activities. There’s a lot more to write on the trip so you’ll see more articles on it in the coming weeks.
The rest of the month wasn’t as exciting although I had the chance to catch up with a lot of writing. I was dog sitting while the the family went to Cancun, Mexico. Taking care of six dogs (two were puppies) and Spanky’s Grill restaurant was not easy. Still, it was sort of nice to do something very different from what I usually do.

Now for September:
This is going to be a really crazy month. First Stephanie and I are off to Seattle for a friends wedding. Then we’re going to TBEX in Girona, Spain!
A few days before TBEX, we have a fantastic villa in Besalu, Spain with a few bloggers. Myself, Stephanie Yoder (Twenty-Something Travel), Kate McCulley (Adventures Kate), Cailin O’Neil (Travel Yourself), and Michael Hodson (Go See Write) invited ten other bloggers to help them on a bit of 1-on-1 blog training. There’s definitely going to be an article on it sometime in September together with all the bloggers we’ve invited.
One of the most exciting parts is going to TBEX though. Since many of my best friends are travel bloggers, you can imagine how much this means to me to be going. Seeing some old friends and meeting new ones in Europe is going to be great.
Afterwards, we’re headed for more action throughout Europe visiting south of France and a little of Italy. It’ll be a short 3-week trip into October but we managed to get exciting sponsorships for it. More details coming soon.

August has been weird for me. I’ve been reading too much on the stupid politics happening in the US and losing track on what’s happening in the travel community.
One Day Vs One Year – How We Kept Our Wedding Small & Our Dreams Big on LandingStanding: As Stephanie and I struggle to find a location for our wedding and figuring out our budget, this article came at a good time. Although I don’t think we could make our wedding only have nine people, it’s a reminder to Steph and I to make sure we have the wedding WE want and what makes us happy.
Mole Poblano: A Rich Tapestry of Mexican Flavors on The Travel Bite by Erika Wiggins of TheActiveExplorer.com: Just seeing those images makes my mouth water of the memory of cooking Mole Poblano. I was on the same trip Erika was on (one of the best trips I’ve been on actually) and Puebla had such delicious foods.
Just how much money can you make teaching in Korea? on QiRanger: This was really interesting to me because I’ve always wondered about this. Steve says the average university pay for an English teacher is 1.8 million Won ($1,586USD). Listen to the rest of the video to find out how to earn even more than that.
When An Alaskan Salmon Runs (or Why It Sucks Being A Salmon) on Jack and Jill Travel: I missed out on this trip because I had to dog sit. Stephanie went as well. Can’t say I’m not jealous. The pictures of salmon look incredibly delicious. Looks like they ate well.
Six Unmissable Korean Movies on Waegook Tom: I love foreign films. I’ve seen a good number of Korean films and thought the list Tom chose to be really great. He’s only missing My Sassy Girl.
