In search for a renowned bar called Delirium Café – a beer café which at a ridiculous total of two thousand and four, won the 2004 Guinness Book of World Records for having the most commercially available beers. Two thousand and four is a lot of beer.

I’d hate to be in history class in England. It sounds like there’s much to learn. It’s so interesting though. If I ever get the chance to, a road trip around England and going to as many castles as possible would awesome. I can’t imagine ever getting castle fatigue.
I was watching Braveheart a few days ago. Its been a few years since the last time I saw it and I still love it. In my opinion, one of the greatest movies of the 1990′s. Wikipedia tells us the story of William Wallace in the movie is almost entirely historically inaccurate. As I kept reading, [...]
Thinking of travelling to Eastern Europe for something different? Ever thought about teaching English in Ukraine? First, an English lesson for foreigners to Ukraine. It’s not “the Ukraine” it’s “Ukraine”. Too many Westerners outside and in Ukraine make that mistake. What’s the big deal? Consider if somebody said “the Canada”, you’d correct them. Money Don’t [...]
It’s an unavoidable truth that on a bright sunny day, the pavement and industry of even the greatest city can be unbearable. That’s why when a warm breeze is in the air and the clouds disappear from the sky, it’s time to escape the urban grit and head for where it’s green.
London has been a major draw for tourists in Europe for just about ever, and with good reason: around every corner you will find history and culture. Most people will check out Soho, Westminster with it’s Abbey and parliament and literary Bloomsbury. They’ll probably stay in posh west end hotels or small inns in central London, soaking up the historical feel. There’s another side to London though, a fast growing and quick moving modern side that merits exploration too.
It always surprises me that so many travelers visit the UK without leaving London once. For shame! There’s so much more to England than London. If you’re going straight from London to Edinburgh and the delights of Scotland, why not stop in lovely Yorkshire and visit the charming city of York?
There’s no getting around it: London is an extremely expensive place to visit. It consistently makes the list of the top ten most expensive cities in the world. This reality is even worse for Americans who are dinged by the strength of the pound against the dollar. As of this writing $1 US is worth about 60 pence- that won’t go too far!
Do you remember Wales? The tiny country to the left of England that along with Scotland and Northern Ireland completes the United Kingdom? A lot of people don’t. With 11 million sheep and only 3 million people, a bizarre language and Celtic culture, Wales is often overlooked by visitors. Wales is so unnoticeable that the even the EU once left them off the map of the UK!
The ones listed below are surrounded by nature and have been used for its many health benefits for years. Most are relatively inexpensive to experience and could be a nice break between all the traveling. Spas are definitely not just for the rich and they’re all open to the public. Some of these hot springs hold hundreds of years of history that has shaped the culture of its neighboring towns or even nation.
