Backpacking is cutting travel costs, but not cutting the exciting elements of adventure. Travel in style; to distinctive places and to have fun doing so!

I just saw this title on Twitter and just have to check it out! This is so true. The most memorable times during my travels are those that I travel alone. All the ups and downs of travel, getting stuck on an island during autumn, reaching a poorly lit bus stop at night and ended up hoping onto a petrol truck in Sabah, Malaysia. Well, you know the possibilties are endless when you travel alone. In fact, it is sometimes harder to have some alone time especially when I look like a teen girl. For an Asian, I look like 16-17 even for an Asian. Ideas you gave are hilarious, sock puppet and lift party. Are they for real? I would never do that but would definitely talk to anybody who has the guts to do so (:

Haha, too true! I actually prefer traveling alone to traveling with friends most of the time because I find that I get to do what I want, when I want to but still have people to come back to and talk to at the end of the day! Plus you get to meet all sorts of awesome travellers with crazy stories - that's always the highlight for me :)

"When you’re travelling alone, you’re rarely travelling alone." This is 100% true!!! In fact, when I travel alone I usually have to find ways to isolate myself to get a little alone time. Solo travel is the best and easiest way to really get to know yourself. Great post!
