Yes, this was in Koh Samui, Thailand. Hard to believe? That’s because we stayed away from the tourist traps. We had heard so many negative things about Koh Samui that we didn’t know what to expect but what we did want is to get away from it all. Recommended by Uncornered Market, we stayed in Bang Po (Northern part of Koh Samui). We basically had the whole resort to ourselves. The owners of the guesthouse were super chill and relaxed. They owned two playful cute dogs. Nobody in sight. Fantastic food. And it was basically a private resort just for us at 600baht ($20usd) a night. It really didn’t get much better than this. Paradise at its maximum. The owners had the resort as a side job to relax as they worked on their real carear as architects. Really chill place called ByBeach.
